I stayed for 2 nights and loved it. The rooms were good for me being that most of the time we were there was spent exploring the city. The hotels location is SO convenient! Took the train from airport to hotel which was an hour total, Getting off the train to walk to the hotel was a pleasantly short walk. Graffiti Tunnel, The London Eye and Big Ben are all within walking distance. Lots of good food options around. I was skeptical at first staying here but glad everything turned out great. The staff was all lovely!

We enjoyed our stay at the Marlin. It provided some of the creature comforts of being home. It has an excellent full kitchen. The room is spacious. It has a table for eating and a chair with an ottoman. The room was updated & nicely furnished. My only issue was that the mattress felt like we were sleeping on the box spring. It was extremely hard & we could feel the Springs. It didn't make for a great night's sleep.

We stayed in a studio room for six days. The location was perfect, the room was clean, and it was quiet at night. But the main comfort problem here was the A/C. It resets two times at night and switches back to the default 19°C, blowing cold air. We woke up every night to change it back when we were breathing cold air. The staff tried but didn't solve the issue. Also, the WiFi in the room is not stable at all. I'd not prefer it again.

The Marlin Waterloo hotel was an overall okay experience. To start off, the service from the staff was great actually. The staff was very kind and welcoming when checking in and out and were very attentive to any needs or requests when interacted with. We even arrived to the hotel early and they had allowed us to check in early for £50 extra(we had arrived around 9:30am and check in was not until 3pm). Location was not that bad as the underground station was about a 4 minute walk, and the Big Ben & House Of Parliament was around a 10 minute walk which was ideal. The rooms were not too great. The bed was very uncomfortable to the point where we had to ask the front desk if there was any padding or changes they could make to it(Luckily they had a mattress pad that improved it a little bit). The room did include a small kitchen and fridge which was nice as well as utensils and plates for eating and cooking. The room we had was very noisy as well. You could hear everyone from the rooms around you through the walls, as well as the plumbing. Anytime anyone flushed a toilet or took a shower you would hear the water running through your room non stop which became a bit of an annoyance. If you are traveling anywhere from outside of the UK to this hotel, make sure you bring an adapter for whatever kind of charger that you use. There are no USB ports or anything to support charging, only the traditional UK outlets are in the room. The views from our room were blocked by another building however that was understandable since we were put on the 2nd floor. That view is pictured. Over all this hotel is only good from someone who is not planning to be in the hotel a lot. It is not the most comfortable or traveler friendly, however it is not a bad bargain considering how close it is to every monument and transportation systems.
