Had a wonderful weeks stay at the Mercure St Helens. My room was lovely clean and tidy. Bed was very comfortable. Room service at an extra cost. Safe. Coffee, tea making facilities. Mini fridge. Iron and ironing board. Hand wash and body lotion in the bathroom. Shampoo and body wash in shower. Fluffy pure white towels. Room service daily. All the staff were wonderful, polite, and helpful with a cheerful chat and smile each day. Thank you for a wonderful, peaceful stay. Keep up the excellent work, guys.

Another visit for afternoon tea with my friends Such a special experience. Table looked gorgeous with flowers and balloons. The staff had made such an effort. Sandwiches and cakes were delicious. Many thanks to Tony who made our afternoon so special. A real credit to the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for him Thanks again and I will be back !!!

Whilst only on a one night stay, we really enjoyed the stay. The staff were very helpful and in particular Victoria who looked after us whilst having a meal with friends in the restaurant, she was very friendly but also very professional and nothing was too much trouble. The meal was excellent. At breakfast a young lad called Nathan was on duty and he to was very good. All in all an excellent stay.

My friend and I went here for afternoon tea. The member of staff looking after us was lovely. She checked in regularly with us to ensure we were fine and to replenish our drinks. The food was ok. The location good as it's only a few minutes walk from the town centre.

Room was ok, went into the pool in the morning, all good. Would definitely NOT stay again: despite entering our car details at the terminal in reception, we were sent a parking charge by Parking Eye. We appealed and it was rejected with response "there were no matches or close matches of car registration." This should have been resolved by the hotel management, but several calls and emails have gone unanswered. Way more hassle than you need for a one night stop.
