Nestled at the back of Angel station, The Islington Metalworks is a unique venue for hire in London.The building was originally used to stable the horses that pulled the trams for London Transport. We hold a wide variety of functions including club nights,concerts, exhibitions, fashion shows, conferences,film shoots and corporate parties and is a very popular wedding venue in London. We are fully licenced until 2am with catering team and kitchen on site.

We have 3 x areas available for live streaming. Our main stage, conference area and live room. We are set up for a live socially distanced seated audience of upto 70 on site alongside a live stream or a pre-recorded live stream. You can use our spaces with your own technical team or take advantage of our on site streaming technician and equipment.

We celebrated our wedding at Electrowerkz in May 2017 and had a really wonderful experience. This is a brilliant place for a wedding reception and I'm sure for many other events. Dette, Laura and the rest of the team went to such great lengths to ensure that everything went smoothly and we had nothing to worry about on the day. They are truly and actively focussed on creating a unique and personal wedding party for couples and have a huge props cupboard that they allow you to explore and use to decorate the venue (well, you choose it, they decorate!). I would 100% make the same decision and have our wedding party at Electrowerkz. The food was delicious, all went like clockwork and if you find a better deal for a venue in zone 1 you'll be doing very well!

Good all night club at the weekends. In an old metalworks, part is still a metalwork. Three floors. Usually open Friday nights for events and Saturday nights for Slimelight club, a Gothic EBM type club. You will need a scanable ID now. Great staff, genuinely care about their patrons. Check it out, wear black though lol.

Most wonderful, community spirited place. Amazing staff, ethically run, true to it's roots. It's an institution, and an amazing industrial space that can be dressed to suit any event type, from classy weddings to rock nights, to obscure places for film sets. I pray it never closes, as it truly is one of the reasons I moved to London! x
