We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Blakemore for Valentine’s Day, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The hotel’s ambiance is charming, and the attention to detail is evident throughout. Our room was cozy, beautiful, and impeccably clean. What truly set our experience apart was the exceptional service provided by Aran. From check-in to check-out, Aran went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed for a comfortable and memorable stay. Her attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine warmth made us feel truly valued as guests. Overall, our stay at The Blakemore was nothing short of wonderful. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a delightful getaway in London, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit.

Upon arrival we were met with very friendly staff, the reception area was very welcoming and they even offered us a free upgrade to a suite for no extra charge to us. This was a very pleasant surprise and a nice Christmas treat! The building is very well located for Hyde Park, but not close enough for it to be busy, loud and noisy. The room we had was very well equipped with everything you could need including hairdryer, iron board and a safe. The mini bar had a fridge for your drinks or food, tea bags and coffee sachets. Of course due to the upgrade we had a lounge attached to our room, but the room we booked originally had a decent TV. If the bed was the same as our upgraded room the bed was very comfortable and made for a very nice sleep. Bathroom had plenty of complimentary toiletries and an amazing shower. We booked this room with a half board option, however we didn’t have dinner so the hotel allowed us access to breakfast instead, usually this was £14.95 per person. The food was nice for a breakfast buffet style, but I would suggest getting there for between 07:30-08:30 to beat the crowd! Disliked · The room we had was very well equipped, however if I paid for the upgraded room it didn’t have everything. This included robes/slippers (very minor). We also had a TV which was inside the bathroom (just in case you need an extra!) however, this didn’t work. Again, very minor but if I had paid for the room, would have been nice to have it on. We also had the option to open a balcony door, if it wasn’t -5 and in December it would of been nice to open this door, however the house keeping had it and they had gone home. Surely it would be better suited for the guest to have access to it in the room. All these additional extras were stated online too.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on a mini-break to London. We cannot praise it highly enough. We were able to leave our luggage safely at the hotel both several hours before check in and after check out. The staff were all warm, friendly and helpful. The room was large, clean and comfortable and the bed was enormous and so comfy to sleep in. Bedding and linen was all immaculate. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel but we had breakfast each morning and found they had plenty of options available both continental or cooked. Everywhere we went in the hotel it was clean and well presented. The area was quiet and there are two tube stations within just a few minutes walk so getting around the city for attractions was no issue. We highly recommend The Blakemore and we would be very happy to stay there again.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. While the location was excellent and the staff were kind, my stay was marred by a disappointing Christmas buffet dinner. Despite its high cost, it paled in comparison to the previous day’s Christmas set menu dinner, which was delightful and similarly priced. The dinner was disappointingly limited in choice and the quality of the dishes was questionable. The food, served lukewarm, quickly lost its heat once plated. The availability of various dishes was poor; they were quickly depleted and, frustratingly, not replenished. The dining area was uncomfortably crowded, likely due to added tables, which made navigating to the buffet a challenge due to the obstructed paths between closely packed tables. In comparison, I've had more satisfying dining experiences at a company cafeteria. The lack of an earnest apology for these shortcomings further added to my dissatisfaction with the overall dining experience and my stay in the hotel. Additionally, the room wasn’t cleaned on Christmas Day due to limited service. The breakfast was decent and reasonably priced. However, the poorly organized Christmas dinner significantly dampened my festive spirit. Having spent many Christmases in London and stayed at various hotels, I regret choosing this hotel for my holiday. It’s crucial for a hotel to maintain consistent quality in services, especially during special occasions like Christmas. If I have to judge the value of this hotel based on this experience, I would say it is low. Without other points of reference, I can only express an overall unsatisfactory evaluation.

After staying at this hotel for 3 nights in December 2023 and had a lovely time the staff were friendly and helpful . I noticed taxi drivers were allowed to use their toilets , so since December when passing I drop in to say hello and use the toilet always greeted with a smile from all the staff. But yesterday I was greeted. By Cristian who told me he wasn’t going to allow me to use the toilet ? I inform him I have IBS meaning I need to get to toilets as quickly as possible , but he was nasty and aggressive in his manner , and just said he wasn’t allowing me to use the toilet . . I now will cancel the trip I was planing to stay there again in March . Shame on you Cristian . . You let the whole hotel down .
