We stayed in a deluxe room just down the road from the main building, and for the most part were very pleased with our room, except for just a few things: being right next to the pavement outside, for privacy we had to shut the blinds, but the lighting was so dim I could hardly see to put on my make-up and there's no provision for turning it up brighter; we ironed a shirt and the ironing board had no padding at all, so just like ironing on metal with a cloth over - thankfully the iron had a light on it so we could see what we were ironing, and lastly for the price you pay for the room it's a bit poor that there are no tea and coffee making facilities included - just a bottle of still water, which doesn't hit the spot when you want to chill in the room with a cuppa. Having said that, the Crazy Bear was a great experience, if not a tad expensive, but we would go back again 🙂

We stayed in a suite. To be honest I loved it. The wet room with the heated floor was just a beautiful touch. There isn't anything complimentary when you go into the room which was a bit rubbish. Kind of expect to have a coffee when I wake up before I get dressed especially for that price. There also wasn't a mini fridge anywhere but the staff did instantly get a bucket of ice for us when we asked, oh, and the glass table was smashed. But all in all it was comfortable and we had so much fun. In that room. All the staff were phenomenonal The food was glorious in evening and at breakfast. I would strongly recommend this place for a date night.

We went for Sunday lunch in the restaurant and the staff were attentive and pleasant. They were a little disjointed though - we had 3 waitresses asking us for our drinks order within the space of 5 minutes...they also missed 2 drinks. The food myself and 1 friend had was spot on, delicious. But my other friend had a dry lamb roast with didn't look very fresh. The place itself it quirky and luxurious, but it is a bit tired. The area surrounding the pool is so cool and unique....but again a little shabby. Could do with a bit of a facelift. Overall, we had a nice lunch and catch up but some attention to detail is required.

We went yesterday, our first date night out in ages. Very disappointing. Saturday night, it felt understaffed. Morale looked low. We waited in the bar for our drinks before being shown to our table. We were given a menu, and waited over 10 mins before we had to signal the waiter. I went for the New York strip. I asked for it medium and it was completely raw inside. Obviously this was sent back and they brought a new one out that was correct. At no point did any of the waiters management come and check if everything was alright. You know it’s those little things that add up to justify spending £182 with them.. We have been in the past and we had high expectations returning again. Personally I would not got back to this place and feel next time, going in central London is a safer bet.

A disappointing stay after spending over £500! The main issue for us was the room, it wasn't clean at all! It really needs a deep clean, this made us feel uneasy. We raised a formal complaint to the Duty Manager when we checked out and she said she would look into this and get her Manager to phone us that afternoon, 5 days later we still haven't received any communication. The couple in front of us also complained and the couple after us were complaining! There are better places to stay for the money and after the poor Customer Service we have received I would go elsewhere.
