First time going to Bedford Swan Hotel and it was an amazing experience. I was first greeted by Rubeka at reception and she was very professional, cheerful and helpful. I knew from my initial interaction with Rubeka that this was going to be an amazing experience. The Thermal Spa was very clean and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Afternoon Tea at Anna’s was also very delicious. Will be visiting again soon!

Didn’t stay as I live in Bedford but went in for breakfast for the first time last Sunday. Greeted by Harvey who was very helpful & friendly. Planning to have my customers stay there when they visit and he explained about the rooms etc lovely chap. Went through for breakfast and was greeted by Sophie Beechey who also was fantastic very friendly and full of energy. She reassured me that I could sit where I wanted and eat whatever I wanted. All of the team were super helpful and would highly recommend going here. Thanks team keep up the good work. Adam

The thermal spa at Swan Hotel Bedford exceeded my expectations. The tranquil ambience, coupled with the soothing thermal pool, sauna, and steam room created a truly rejuvenating experience. The attention to detail in the spa facilities and the quality of service made my first visit wonderful. A perfect escape for anyone seeking a blissful evening. Our visit was on a Monday night which was ladies' night. Excellent value for money 2hrs £30. Parking was free, you just need to enter your reg at the desk. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and very helpful in explaining where and what to do i.e. Lockers etc. Towel and robe provided. Good size changing room with lovely showers and beautiful shower products. Hairdryers. Even a swimming costume spinner so you don't have a soaking wet costume in your bag! Will certainly be returning! Who knew this was just on our doorstep?

Stayed here for a family party so we had a few rooms booked. The hotel is aesthetically lovely - very grand and overall maintained - it was certainly very clean. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfy and well equipped. Our room had a nice view over the embankment and they'd grouped our booked rooms together. However, everything just feels so badly organised and pretty chaotic here. When we checked in we were told that the heating wasn't working properly in the room but by leaving the card in the slot the room would soon heat up - after coming back from a party at 11pm the room was freezing (on one of the coldest nights of the year). When I made a complaint the night reception team did not care and offered me another quilt instead of offering to look into it). So we instead had to spend the night freezing. The following morning I found out that we weren't the only ones that had encountered the same issues. Problems continued at breakfast. The staff in the restaurant were continually chaotic, running around not knowing what was going on and when I asked for some new bowls and cutlery I was spoken to so rudely by a number of them. The breakfast was not worth the money - the hot food was on hot plates leaving it bland and dry, and the continental side was limited. As a result I complained to the hotel manager who was pleasant to resolve the issues with a partial refund, however I just feel some of these issues are easy to fix and being issued with a partial refund shouldn't have been necessary. The hotel is right in the centre of Bedford and close to a number of bars, restaurants, shops and other amenities.
