Named after John Dixon Butler, the Grade II-listed building’s original Edwardian architect, The Dixon is steeped in history but inspired by the contemporary character and culture of its vibrant neighbourhood. Its 193 rooms and suites, lounges and restaurant enjoy an edgy, eclectic design aesthetic and a boutique vibe.

Def one of the coolest hotels I’ve stayed in. Loved it so much, we stayed here again when we got back from Scotland. Pretty good location and very close to tower bridge and other things to see. Rooms as a little small and you have to watch out for the pocket doors, they can hurt your hands if you’re not paying attention. We had a small accident twice with the bathroom doors. But the rooms look amazing, service was great, the bar in the hotel was on point with great staff. Would def stay here again if I come back to London.

The Dixon is situation just 10 min. from underground and various national rail services. Beyond that it’s across for. The Tower of London and couldn’t be more central to much of the go-to tourist spots. The staff was lovely and very helpful. The The breakfast was also very good and delicious: it’s a standard English breakfast buffet with some extra additional add ons. Very much would stay again.

While I only stayed 2 nights at the Dixon, I had a tremendous stay. I was offered to upgrade rooms upon arrival and ended up with a great view of the Tower Bridge. The location is quite convenient as well, close to surrounding attractions and the tube which you can take anywhere in the city. The service was the best part. Roberto at the front desk was kind and helpful, and really went above and beyond to make sure my stay was to my liking, he even offered to carry my extremely heavy bags out to my cab, which he also called for me. All in all, I would stay here again and recommend to anyone staying in London!

Good: Hotel is stylish and chic. Location was great for us, not too touristy with the tube walking distance and an interesting surrounding neighborhood with the bridge close by. Check in was nice and the staff was professional and polite. One of the hotel staff offered to assist us with baggage and provided a lovely tour of the hotel's history. Not great: Buffet breakfast is average. Had to ask for things to be re-stocked. Saw a woman note her toast was burned by the toaster oven to a manager who declared it was her fault for running it through twice - she hadn't. The pancake maker churned out under cooked cakes - no way to adjust it. Plates were left on tables without being cleared. Requested to swich from the breakfast to just points and got a hard time. (Titanium member) Asked front desk for assistance getting a cab to make a Christmas dinner reservation across town an hour ahead of time. Was told not to worry, and they'd book it 5 min before I wanted to leave, and I should call back. I did. Then, they could not get a can and suggested I get one on the street in rain. Luckily, Uber ride came through at last minute. Not sure I'd return; depends on what you need from a hotel. Probably way better experience outside a holiday.

Decent hotel, yet not worth the nightly rate. The overall experience was a 5/10, despite a spectacular grand foyer. The food was ok, the service was good but did not justify the high price… You can find a better Marriott experience all together in London!
