February 2020I had the West African-style peanut and sweet potato stew and a side of chips and a flat white with oat milk. My main was nice and filling. The coffee was nice however at £3 with a 50p surcharge for milk alternative you’d want a little more than nice. There isn’t Wifi in the café however there was still a few people with their laptops out towards the tail-end on lunchtime. There wasn’t a Food hygiene rating on the window or the door or it wasn’t easily noticeable so I had to look it up online and they did have a 5 rating from 2017. When we arrived there was only one vegan dessert option which was a cupcake but this was towards the end of lunch time.

January 2020It is a roomy & comfy cafe located just off Roman Road 5 min walk away from Bethnal Green tube station. Coffee are well prepared & taste better than most chained stores. Interior is cozy with worn wooden furniture & sofa. Nice place for a coffee break if you are nearby.

June 2021This place is devoid of atmosphere or warmth. The service is perfunctory from disinterested staff and the coffee and cakes taste of....nothing. 2 stars because you can always get a table and it's somewhere out of the rain. Shame. I really want local places to do well but they will have to up their game with so many lovely cafes close by.
