The kitchen is clearly run to a very high standard. The menu is excellent and my food was delicious. Food review only- Everything I could see from my table looked equally appealing and smelt delightful. The front of house staff were all trained well with expected check-backs, fast service and on the ball. One of the waitresses did seem a little unenthusiastic, however who knows what kind of day anyone is having. If you’re looking for great fresh food and good service it’s highly recommended.

What else can you ask for? Very friendly and courteous staff. If you care about the quality of service for your bucks, this is the place for a meal and drinks. Food very fresh and well prepared. Did I mention how promptly it arrived? - speedily. Very central and yet isolated from the noise and bustle of Birmingham central. My local and every visit is as good as the first. .

Nice pub close to Birmingham city centre. Dog friendly however the areas around the bar to sit with dogs are limited and also the tables are either high chair bench style or very low table seating (not normal table height) which is a bit uncomfortable to eat. The service was very friendly and attentive.

We waited over an hour for roast dinners on a Sunday lunchtime. All of which were below average eg the meat was overcooked, pork very fatty, cauliflower cheese and creamed spinach had no flavour, nearly all meals were cold or lukewarm (if being generous), and, the jug of gravy supplied look like vegetable stock - we took it back thinking they had maybe forgotten the gravy granules (bar staff agreed with us) - but got a similar looking jug of watery stock bought up around 10 minutes later. Given the lack of quality with the main meals most of us avoided having pudding. To top it all off our grandmas birthday cake was given away to another table 🤦🏻♀️ Whilst our waitress was attentive and lovely, the food was a complete let down given the price. Not to mention the men’s urinals were overflowing and smelt very bad, which did not make for a pleasant environment. Unfortunately, due to the above none of us would return.
