Joining the VenueScanner Community is free and easy!

You can sign up using your e-mail address, Facebook or Google account here or by clicking ‘Join’ in the top right hand corner of the homepage.

Now you’ve found your perfect match, send an enquiry to the Venue Host. We’ll make sure they get back to you quickly, so you can confirm everything, complete payment and focus your time on creating the perfect event.

 

3 – Give & Receive

After the event, rateyour experience with the venue and ask your guests for their feedback. You’ll get rewarded with credit for your next booking. And become an active member of The VenueScanner Community.

Absolutely not! There are zero costs associated with signing up, you only pay for the venues you choose to book. And what’s more, there are no hidden charges or fees with VenueScanner, the price you see is the price you pay.

We also offer a Low Price Guarantee. We check prices so you don’t have to. And we promise to always keep our number one promise… to keep innovating so that we can keep our costs low and pass our savings on to the venues who in turn will pass them on to you.

Yes, any catering can be arranged through the ‘Enquire Now’ button on the venue page. An Event Organiser can submit a query for any catering they wish to have (if available) which the Venue Host can then provide a quote for. The organiser will then have the option to accept or reject.

Feel free to attach any menus via My Inbox.

Any cancellations can be be made through My Inbox.

Please note, VenueScanner will apply the Venue Host’s cancellation policy as contained in their listing.

No. Listing. Fees. You can list as many spaces as you like all at zero cost… we only take a small percentage (8% – the lowest on the market) for each enquiry generated or booking made through VenueScanner.

We offer you four pricing plans: hourly or daily, price per guest, minimum spend or price on asking. We’d strongly advise you to avoid using the dreaded POA. It’s a real turn off for Event Organisers. They will glaze over your venue.

Instead we recommend choosing one of our pricing plans and including any additional information in your custom price comments.

If you like to change your prices frequently, then enter your ‘from’ price. It’s better to have something than nothing. POA will automatically take you further down the search results rankings.

Examples of what to write about in the Custom Price Comment Field:

-any additional pricing plans beyond the one you selected

-supplements for weekends or evenings

-additional fees that the Event Organiser needs to know about (tell them everything up front)

Please note your prices should be inclusive of VAT + 8% VenueScanner commission.

In most instances, we will take payment (full amount or in deposits, depending on the Venue’s individual Ts & Cs) from the Event Organiser via direct bank transfer or credit card payment using Stripe.

Payment will then be passed on to the Venue via direct bank transfer on the day before the event.

No. Venue Hosts can de-list any of their venues/spaces at any point. All we ask is that you tell us why? Because we always want to know how we could do better. 

All catering, equipment hire and additional services can be arranged through VenueScanner (using the Enquire Now button) and the same 8% fee applies on the full package price.

As noted in our Terms and Conditions, the “Total Fee” is comprised of:

  • the Venue Hire Fee
  • the VenueScanner Fee, currently set at 8% of the Venue Hire Fee;
  • where applicable, any Payment Processor fees or charges (currently set at 0% of the Venue Fee); and
  • where applicable, any applicable taxes.

 Prices advertised on your listing should be inclusive of VAT and our fee (8%) + VAT on our fee.

VenueScanner sends the Venue Host an email with the details of the booking, after which it is your responsibility to get in contact with the organiser via My Inbox within 24 hours (but really, asap) to discuss and finalise the booking.

Our Founding Partner offer is an introductory offer that is no longer available.

What does Founding Partner status mean?

  • Your venue will be limited to only 100 founding partners across all venue types – unique venues, hotels, offices, bars etc.
  • List as many venues/spaces you like for free.
  • For the first six months all bookings are commission free (8% thereafter)
  • No listing fees or minimum commitment!
  • Prioritised in venue search listings with a Founding Partner ‘tag’
  • We work directly with you on producing tailored marketing for your venues which we’ll share across our social media platforms, our blog, email and on the website itself
