Why I hear you ask? It’s very simple in our minds. We’re constantly innovating, looking for smarter, simpler ways of doing things… constantly striving to improve the experience of event organisers, venue hosts and guests… from the moment they dream up their event to the memories they have afterwards. Also, it helps us keep our costs low.

So, what can you look forward to in 2017?
Anywhere – As we expand nationally, search engine rankings and visitor numbers will rise. VenueScanner will be much more visible when users search for every type of event or every location.
Pricing – Choose from more advanced pricing options for your venue. We’re adding delegate rates, minimum spend options and ‘from’ pricing to help users make more sense of your preferred pricing and put an end to “POA” (which simply puts users off).
Deposits – Make your deposit and cancellation policy as venue hosts clearer to event organisers up front. And we will automatically calculate the deposit value during the booking and payment process to ensure the right payments are taken at the right time… without you having to chase invoices.
Calendar Live – Display live calendar availability to users and take ‘instant’ bookings. We’ll offer integration into your venue calendar so that we can show live availability to users and avoid those enquiries that result in a ‘sorry we have no availability on that date’.
Give & Receive – Find out what your guests think of you as venue hosts. Do they give you the thumbs up or thumbs down? Let your clients do your marketing for you.

1- Photos… sounds simple doesn’t it? Yes, it is simple. We’ve ranked all of our venues based on photo quality. Venues at the bottom of the pack are five times less likely to receive an enquiry. Don’t be one of those. Check this out these venues which do a brilliant job of showcasing their brand with great photography.
You needn’t spend thousands on a fancy camera. If you know how to get the most out of them, most smartphones are now good enough to get some brilliant shots. But, think about the layout, the lighting, the look you are trying to create. It’s so important to photograph your space in every layout / style that can be accommodated. Need more guidance? 2 – Description. Make your words count. Be sure to think how you will stand out from the crowd – the name of your venue, the description… all need to be carefully thought out. What’s special? What’s unique? What’s the feeling you’d like your Event Organiser or their Guests to have before, during and after the event. Make your edits here. If you need help with writing something standout about your venue, just ask.
3 – Tags. You’ll notice that our venues are now tagged up under the various event type (garden party, brainstorm, product launch and so on) and venue type (restaurant, iconic, affordable and so on) filters on the homepage search bar and also on the venue list pages. Make sure your venue is featured in the correct tags. If it’s not, ask us to make any alterations or make your edits here.
