We think we’ve given it a good stab, here are our top 10 highlights from the year:
- We met with >300 Personal Assistants, Fundraising Managers and In-house Event Managers to understand your challenges in finding venues and managing events. We’re building the platform based on your feedback.
- We built “Super Enquire”. Add 5+ venues to your Shortlist and bulk enquire with them so that you don’t have to send enquiries multiple times. Just like adding to basket on Amazon.
- Venue Variety… we promised you the most venues and the best variety of venues. We’ve broadened our range of spaces for hire from meeting rooms and party venues last year to: 536 Pubs, 1,250 Restaurants, 88 Clubs, 588 Studios, 680 Galleries, 9,380 Event Spaces, 7,464 Meeting Rooms, 1,974 Hotels, 299 Schools, 250 Church or Community Centres.
- AI Search Algorithms… we’ve re-launched our venue search pages: new designs, advanced filters and AI (artificial intelligence) driven logic meaning the search results are continously self-learning and optimised. The venues which respond fastest, are highest rated and deliver the best experience to event organisers automatically appear first in your search.
- Venue Discovery… we’ve on-boarded >13,000 venues to the VenueScanner platform, the most venues bookable on one website across the UK.
- Advanced Filters… we know that there are MASSES of considerations when searching for a venue. So, in addition to search by event type, we now enable you to also search by venue type. Example: I want to have a meeting in a Pub in Shoreditch. You can layer on the number of guests, pricing plan (search by price per guest, minimum spend, price per day/hour) and then add on venue characteristics as well such as “creative”, “unusual” or “BYOB”.
- New Cities… officially launched in Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and growing in Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool. We’re truly focusing on the whole of the UK, not just London!
- Fun Rewards… as a way to say thank you for your loyalty to VenueScanner, we’re creating a great range of rewards. This year we launched a £15 reward voucher or membership to The Nudge each time you book through VenueScanner. And we’ve also had great success with our referral programme which awards you and your friend a £15 voucher when you recommend them. You can chose from some of your favourite brands.
- Curated Venue Inspiration… It can be overwhelming once you know how many venues are out there. So, we have curated Top 10’s in key categories for you: Creative Spaces, Affordable, Meeting Spaces, Iconic Spaces…
- Lazy Enquire… fill in your event details and we’ll select the best venues and enquire on your behalf. We also now have “VenueScanner Events” a premium service for members needing production and event management support beyond venue hire.
