A charming hotel. It is old and dated but I actually think this adds to its charm. The garden is a lovely relaxing area. We stayed one night and the location was ideal. Our room was comfortable and clean but the pillows were flat and uncomfortable. We had a room overlooking the garden which was nice. Had difficulty finding the bathroom light switch as this was in between the wall and the tea/coffee cabinet on the wall (not good if yoy have big hands!) The breakfast was only continental (no full English sadly) but was adequate with plenty of toast! The staff are all wonderful! Very friendly, responsive and helpful. The location was perfect and considering what we paid for a London hotel we can't complain. I would stay here again as was great value for money.

The best thing about this hotel was its staff. They were all very polite and helpful. The hotel itself was in need of refurbishment.it felt very dated and worn. My main concern would be the bathroom .The bath was encased with a shower surround which added an extra inch to the bath therefore anyone who had short legs or mobility issues would find access into the bath difficult.there were no safety handles to hold whilst you got in or out of bath.Im 5ft5in and found it challenging. My 5ft3inc friend found it impossible.i did slip getting out 1st time and bruised my inner thigh from where I banged it on metal trim for skidding doors on bath surround

Location is very good and the employees are helpful and friendly and these are the 2 stars. BUT the room cannot be called like this, incredibly small, window broken, noisy and cold. No space for 2 people, bathroom a disaster and super small. On top of it, my booking on the hotel next door (same chain) has been cancelled few days before arrival (booked 1 month in advance...) and we were just moved to this "hotel" with same standards (?). Why? Still don't know, they just did it. As sorry got a coupon for a drink and check out until 12 (normal 11). By the way, room cleaning and towels change only on request and for some fresh air the rubbish bin is required. Almost forgot, it is a 4 stars hotel... Never ever again.

Not the best experience. The room was tiny and the cleanliness not up to the standard. The whole night there was a noise coming out of the pipes in the bathroom. The bar was lacking ice for drinks and many basic liquors and mixers. The staff was tired and not interested. Honestly, had a better stay in Premier Inn. Glad I was there only for one night. Breakfast was nice and filling. Not worth its stars!

Was meant to be staying in Grange Blooms Hotel but they moved us here the day before we arrived with no explanation. Staff were not particularly welcoming or friendly, check in service was terrible. Room was very old and not particularly clean, the whole room was on a slant, there was no form of soundproofing (just single pain windows) so the noise from outside was horrific, not to mention the noise from other guests. The bed was rock hard, kettle was leaking onto the electrics, no housekeeping so rubbish was just left outside people's rooms in the corridors. Had a continental breakfast which was a very poor selection of hard fruit and mouldy Bananas, mackerel and a bowl of boiled eggs. Definitely wouldn't stay here again. The only good thing is the location of the hotel.
