Beautiful place, the staff are all pretty friendly, the rooms are nice and clean. There is plenty around, places to eat, shops to go to. If you don't feel like going out there are a few places nearby you can order from or you can order room service. The food was pretty good when we did and it came pretty quick. The only complaints I would have is there was no mini-fridge or anything and the bubbles in the bath didn't work. Otherwise it was a fantastic stay.

Nice clean room, friendly, helpful staff. Food was good (hot chocolate brownies were amazing) good atmosphere in the 3 days we stayed there. Would come back.

Visited for a function, the meal we had was very good, a set menu of tomato soup followed by a main of chicken wrapped in ham with a treacle/sticky toffee pudding to finish. The soup was firstly very hot to taste, but with a fairly good taste the chicken was a plentiful piece surrounded with fresh vegetables. The desert was light with plenty of very sweet and sticky sauce. All in all a good meal in an old building with a modern and recently decorated function room.

Good value for money. Nice building. Easy to get to restaurants and Bristol centre. However, quite noisy at night and the staff are a little 'robotic'.

Don't do hand towels, no shower jell nor shampoo. Bedroom windows don't close as the latches were broken. The whole place is run on a shoestring with minimal staff, lady behind the bar doubles as waitress. No fried eggs because the management thew frying pan out, not efficient! Breakfast consisted of everything being kept warm in casseroles on hot plates. The staff were very helpful trying to do their best despite the management.
