Well, as the award-winning duo – Michael Sager and Marcis Dzelzainis – run the highly celebrated Hackney wine bar, drinks are a good place to start. Take your pick of coffee-infused cocktails in the canteen, located on the ground floor with an eye-catching open kitchen, or head downstairs for 250 different wines and cutting-edge cocktails. They’ve created their own special tonic water, which is supposedly lighter in taste and brings spirits to a whole new level.

But the downstairs dining area demands attention too, where Thomas Raymond (of Ellory) offers an on-trend menu with modern Mediterranean dishes. Small plates include pumpkin with smoked potatoes, warm beetroot doused in blue cheese, and pickled carrots accompanied by yoghurt butter. Mains revolve around the grill, bringing you options such as barbecue chicken skewers or slow-roasted lamb shoulder to share.

Small plates cost around £8-£12; mains vary between £14 and £17.
