Went here for a Christmas meal. The Christmas menu was £65 for 3 courses which is quite expensive, and the quality of the food just wasn’t up to scratch. It was average at best. The roast was quite pathetic looking, and was missing several key components like stuffing, a yorkshire pudding, parsnips etc. The gravy was tasteless and too thin. Soup was lovely, but then again it is just soup. The sticky toffee pudding was nice but they gave the tiniest amount of ice cream with it. Extremely expensive overall - a glass of white wine was £10+ Smelt absolutely awful downstairs where the toilets are located. The stench is so strong, you can smell it before you even get to the toilets. The decor is quite creepy with loads of dead taxidermy animals everywhere. Made me feel quite uncomfortable, especially the pig heads. Wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t go back here. Nicer pubs in the city with better food, which aren’t so expensive.
