February 2024Beautiful interiors & decor. One of the nicest Mercure's I've seen as of yet. Didn't stay at the hotel, as I only had a pass to use the health/spa facilities. Used the swimming pool and sauna. No steam room but there is decent-sized jacuzzi and gym also. Good experience overall.

December 2023Lovely hotel, room walked in on me without knocking when I was naked. Then just stood there staring at me, only for her friend to walk in and do the same 2 minutes later. I was very angry I went and complained, went out for food when I returned, the duty manager left a bottle of Prosecco, a sorry note and some chocolates in my room. Which I thought was so lovely. I realised it’s just a couple of bad staff with no manners. However most hotels housekeeping staff seem to have no customer service skills and walk into rooms unannounced. Would 100% stay here again, the gym staff are lovely, breakfast was far superior to other 4 star corporate hotels. Apart from the housekeeping fully invading my Privacy this is definitely a hotel to visit. Staff are amazing foods great, it’s a lovely old period building with loads of character. All in all great place.

February 2024I've stayed here before. I have liked my stay both times. The gym is a bit small but has what you need. The restaurant is nice and breakfast is ok too. 4 star overall from me.

January 2024I was gifted an afternoon tea with bubbles. First impression was that the hotel was tired and in need of some TLC. Staff were friendly but unaware of exactly what we had booked. My coffee was lukewarm but when they finally arrived bubbles were good. Sandwiches were OK but fillings were bland. Cakes were good and scones were excellent. All in all a bit disappointing.
