Lovely hotel, generous sized rooms, breakfast was lovely, dinner not so much, very disappointing! Bar food was lovely. Gorgeous spa, swimming pool, hydro pool, beautiful gardens and outside seating area. Elemis products in the room and public rest rooms. Rooms were lovely and clean, and well stocked, staff were very helpful. Taxi into town was £7, would happily stay here again

Spent a long weekend here with my partner. We loved the experience. From when you arrive in the grounds to the red carpet entry and the rustic settings. The Spa was also great for relaxing, especially the outdoor heated pool. Few small niggles, as the building is quite old, it has old windows. This allows in a few bugs, we had quite a lot of ladybirds. Also the shower was temperamental. At times the water just did not get hit enough, at others it was too hot. Overall, it was a lovely experience and would recommend. The restaurant as well had great food and wine

Day trip to this hotel spa. The venue is a beautiful old building on great grounds however I could see that maintenance budget in the spa area is well under where it should be. The pools were well heated and clean. Lunch menu was limited, expensive and the produce was quite poor. The massage was incredible, a wonderful therapist and felt amazing after. Overall a good day. Reviewing on the Spa Day package. We had a lovely facial and the spa facilities are really nice, especially this weekend in the sun, we enjoyed all the different steam/saunas, the ice room and the outdoor terrace! The outdoor pool was very hot, I bet it would be even more enjoyable when it's chilly outside. There was just one thing that lost two stars for the experience was the afternoon tea. Super slow service, we sat down for our 1PM afternoon tea booking and it took 30 minutes for the food to come out, we were not told what was in the sandwiches, the cakes were industrial and dry. We were finally served a pot of tea 1 hour in, by which time we'd basically finished. The scones were good, the scenery is beautiful, but the afternoon tea was absolutely not worth it - we should have brought our own sandwiches!

Stayed here for the weekend and have to say it’s very overpriced. Most of the staff were inexperienced. They’re very keen to help but just didn’t really have a clue. Two bars only one of them open with only one person serving and there was a wedding on which made it almost impossible to be served. Food was horrendous at times (they did at least refund us breakfast) bathroom shower hose was split. I should have taken heed when I first tried to book the place and the receptionist was completely useless. I would have ignored all of these niggles but for the fact they charge 200-300 per night. The hotel is just not in that league. My view is that the owner or manager is more focussed on make every ounce of profit possible. Room and location were fabulous.
