We are licensed to hold civil ceremonies for both marriages and civil partnerships, so we really can take care of your entire big day from start to finish! Our flexible approach means you can put your own stamp on the celebrations without sticking to an off-the-shelf solution.
Our new function suite can accommodate over 150 for a wedding but we have other rooms that can accommodate small intimate parties of 10 to groups of more than 30. The DJ of our resident disco Chaplins will gladly take requests, or we can advise on live bands and even pipers if you prefer!

January 2024We had made a mistake on our reservation but the reception staff, Jay and Ellie went out of their way to resolve it and make our stay a good one. All the staff are friendly and helpful. A great venue for families with a good atmosphere. Beds were comfortable and we slept well. Good hot shower in our en-suite. The breakfast buffet was good, with daily specials at no extra cost to our inclusive rate. We’d definitely stay here again.

January 2024It was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. So dog friendly. Had its own dog breakfast room and its own restaurant room, so it did not interfere with non dog owners. Out of the very centre of Edinburgh, but so easy to leave your car behind in the hotel car park and take the frequent bus into the very centre of town and no worries about parking.

December 2023I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel West, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. The hotel is not only pet-friendly, but they go above and beyond to make sure your furry friend feels welcome. They even offer a pet breakfast service, which is a thoughtful touch. The room I stayed in was incredibly spacious and comfortable. It had everything I needed and more. The bed was cozy, and the amenities provided were top-notch. I appreciated the attention to detail in the room's design and cleanliness. The staff at Hotel West were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They were always ready to assist with any requests or questions I had. Their warm and welcoming attitude made me feel right at home. Another great feature of Hotel West is their EV charging and parking facilities. It's a convenient option for guests who drive electric vehicles. I found it extremely convenient to have access to charging stations on-site. Overall, my experience at Hotel West was exceptional. From the pet-friendly atmosphere to the spacious rooms, friendly staff, and EV charging facilities, this hotel truly exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

December 2023Went on a coach trip with a friend for the Edinburgh Christmas Markets. The hotel was lovely and warm and welcoming. Quick efficient service (we were a group booking) and very informative. Although a few miles outside the city, we were informed of bus routes we could catch if we wished. I had a small double room, which was perfect for me, a nice size, with tea and coffee facilities a TV and en-suite. The room was very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. We opted to have our evening meals in the hotel, which were absolutely delicious and fresh and very reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we couldn't have wished for a better stay.
