If this pub has one good thing it's the vast amounts of outdoor seating, a great place to sit for a drink. If this is what you want, then you'll be happy. However everything to do with the food has gone majorly downhill. Their menu used to be a lot better. I recall their burger being great along with some nice sweet potato fries. Their menu now feels like some fake Greek style food with some burgers etc. added on. Honestly all the food looks like it was made for a school dinner, so if you imagine that, you won't be far off. Furthermore the portion sizes of some of the pieces are completely off. Their haloumi fries consists of just a few pieces. The amount of bread you get with the hummus dip makes you think they're rationing it. Also I think they're hiring the management's family as servers and well... most of them are bad. On top of this social distancing is poorly enforced here compared to other pubs I've been to. No table service. No app to order. No one way systems. Clissold if you're reading this... change your menu! Bring back standard pub food... a good burger, fish and chips etc. Sort out your staff and actually care a bit more about social distancing.

I went to a school reunion there. We hired a private room and were extremely well looked after. The buffet was superb! The bar area was comfortable and welcoming, and there is an outdoor covered area that was busy and convivial. The only negative was that there was no real ale on tap but frankly, it didn't detract from the overall experience. A great evening in an fantastic venue.

cocktails not well measured, does not taste good but had to drink it as it was £8.50!! the price reflects central London pricing but the quality is not there. The service is ok. I don't know what happened to the outdoor area...now looks like a fast food place, no character, dated wooden furniture, looks so old and the poles dirty. It was better before with single umbrellas and the decor much more to our liking. The new look and feel downgrade the region.

A visit, to see where The Kinks started, a great time to be brought up musically! Really enjoyed my visit, the staff put on a load of Kinks music for me, thank you. Beer was good, cold and hearty. The lads on the bar were lovely and so polite. The Kinks Room at the front is ideal for any pop pilgrimage. There is also a huge outside area an much foodie things to be done. A lovely place to visit. Also, it turns out Ray Davies lived over the road, wonderful.
