Welsh Skies
Wales' best kept secret. I stayed here as a university student forty years ago and still love the place. A thousand acres of wild grounds and formal gardens to wander in, a stunning location, loads of history and no crowds. The café now offers delicious soup and good coffee. Bring a camera, binos and an umbrella.

Cants say about the rooms but location, location, location. Wow if you love woodlands and black and white wooden buildings then this is the place for you. Pay for parking at the machine or in the café thats across from the carpark. The cafe is a lovely place with outside seatings and great food. They do accept card as well.

I loved the routes of walking and the lake. Yesterday I ran to Treygon then around the back of Gregynog then in the gymnastics routine and did the bench press the sit ups the monkey climbing, chin ups, frog leaps, the climbing pole, the run jump bars and the side jump bar. Then ran the blue lake route going around the in a circle of the lake one way and then the other way then in the woods. I said to myself whilst approaching the woods "Chooe hello is there anyone in there!" then the back of Gregynog onto the main grit path across the main gardens then up the road for half a mile. So I did one and a half two hours of running/ walking altogether. Then stoped at the cafe for the cheesy cauliflower soup roll and hot chocolate then sat quietly in the cafe colouring. It was an adventurous experience of nature and wonderful place to go.
