Babur is a comfortable stylish restaurant with contemporary ethnic feel using traditional Indian arts and crafts in a modern way. Exposed brick walls and ducting, bare American walnut tables. While the style is relaxed we are serious about our food and drinks offerings

Style of cooking

We try to present traditional Indian dishes in a way that suits our customers, so we have reduced oil/ghee content. We now import our spices directly from India to give livelier flavours.
At the same our chefs make combinations from across India based on appealing tastes and textures than strict adherence to regional traditions.

Interesting facts

Designed by glass architects very large (2.7m X 1.5m) Kalamkari by Ajit Kumar Das the permanent collection of the V&A in the form of an Indian horoscope with thousands of words written in Sanskrit
