Staff pleasant, friendly, deal with you asap. Bathroom good. All the usual. Bed fine, clean etc had a good night's sleep (room 21). Air-con in room. Far enough from the road to hear nothing. Quiet, decent place to stay the night.

Lovely hotel. The rooms are a little tired and basic could do with updating. I know it's an older style but you can still update with traditional decor. Bed is very comfortable tho and it's was nice and quiet. Breakfast was good and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The bar is nice too.

Room up in attic, quite close to kitchen vicinity, smell from the kitchen travelled up three flights of stairs, not a pleasant smell. finger prints on wardrobe, mirrors, set of drawers peeling.Back coming off the dressing table. Stray hair on bathroom floor, moved it out of the way, with my foot. Tv remote didn't work, when pressing the guide button. Woke up through night, all we could smell, was a fat smell coming up from kitchen. Breakfast nothing special, poached eggs not runny on my egg's benedict, sharper knives required for cutting bacon. Full English breakfast a pound extra charge for fried bread or black pudding. Opened small window, water poured in over the television stand, no exceptional views from room. Only one pack of biscuits 3 in pack, for two people,I mentioned this to the bar lady, she was very helpful brought us a bag with extra tea and coffee, biscuits.
