Head here if you're in Liverpool for an afternoon of contemporary art. It's close by to other places of interest, such as the Liverpool Museum. The area itself is great to wander around too. Definitely worth a visit.

Had a great time. Really taken by the Don McCullin exhibition, quite a number of powerful images here. Well worth the visit. Be prepared for some tough themes. Made me angry that this stuff is STILL going on. Quite a number of images of children I found difficult to look at.... Also visited the Louise Bourgeois exhibition. It was interesting, some nice prints in here and quirky sculptures. Got a book in the gift shop. Bit pricey in there... £18.50 for a Guerrilla Girls mug? Is it for Champagne? 😲🤷🏻‍♀️

I visited to see the Don MacCullin exhibition. I had trouble trying to get a ticket as the computer system was not working but the receptionist on ticket sales was extremely helpful. The exhibition was well worth the effort. The photos were well laid out with clear explanations. A brilliant, heart rending and thought provoking exhibition.

Lovely space for displaying art, friendly helpful staff. Very accessible for wheelchair users. The only drawback was the prices in the gift shop were very high.

Went to the Freud exhibition which was beautifully staged and was remarkable in the collection on show. It also gives a wide range of information on the man and how his different life experiences impacted on his work. You may leave not really liking Freud the man but you will appreciate Freud the artist.
