We absolutely loved our stay at Thistle. Our room was large with typical hotel amenities. We stayed for a 2 week vacation, and had a great time. We got breakfast included, and highly recommend it. A great meal to start the day and keep costs down. Best water pressure we've ever experienced in a hotel shower, and the shower is huge! The best thing about this hotel though is the closet. We had a TON of luggage for our month in Europe, and this closet gave us a lot of space to store luggage so it wasn't strewn around the room. Location was perfect for us. Right across from Hyde Park for morning strolls. Within walking distance of Kensington Palace, Royal Albert Hall, Portobello Road Market, and a long beautiful walk to Buckingham Palace and the Westminster area. We had to take to tube to all of the other locations we planned to visit, but even then, it was only a 30-40 minute ride from Bayswater station to anywhere you want to go. There's a huge shopping area with lots of shops, restaurants, and a Boots a few minutes walk away. We got sick in Paris before we arrived and had to go to Boots often for cold meds and cough drops the entire time in London. A few of our day trips were canceled due to us being sick and not wanting to be out in the weather, and those days we got stuck in the hotel were still enjoyable because of how comfortable our room, and bed, were. If we ever come back to London, we will stay here again.

First off, the location was perfect as it was a 5-minute walk from Queensway station to access the tube. The hop-on and off-bus stop was right outside the hotel too for easy access - which I highly recommend to getting around London to see the top attractions. Hyde Park is directly across the street if you would like to take a nice stroll and just enjoy the greenery! The hotel room was clean, service was excellent and there is also a restaurant and bar inside the hotel. Access to the rooms using the elevator you will need your key card. They will also allow you to leave your luggage before check-in and check-out times with tags on your bags with a ticket for you to hold on to. Large hotel room, nice, spacious bathrooms, and a safe in the rooms to store your valuables. Overall great stay and would come back!

Stayed for 2nights on business, only interaction with staff I had was checking in hence the 3stars, in which he was busy and slightly distracted. Great location close to tube station and park. Cannot comment on the restaurant or breakfast as didn't use it. My room on the 3rd floor had a double bed reasonably comfortable with nice pillows. Had all basic necessities in the room, it was just a tad small but as I was by myself it was fine. The shower room was lovely with nice big shower and a heated mirror. It is above a petrol station and appearance on the outside isn't good but it is nice on the inside but in my opinion definitely is not a 4* hotel. Lift is also very small and the far right lift didn't work for the 3rd floor.

This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at in London. When we checked in, the front desk staff claimed there were no available rooms, suggesting we pay for another hotel ourselves. This was absurd as we had already prepaid before arriving, and it was late at night, making it difficult and expensive to find alternative accommodation. After expressing our dissatisfaction, suddenly, they had a room available. The overall experience after check-in was also terrible; even basic services like providing slippers were mishandled by the front desk. They claimed to have slippers but delayed delivering them, making us wait for a call that never came. In reality, the staff never returned our call, and we had to reach out to them. I can't believe we wasted over half an hour waiting for someone to deliver a simple household item. I have reason to suspect this staff member of engaging in racial discrimination. The overall inefficiency and lack of basic services made our stay at this hotel extremely disappointing.

The location of the hotel is really convenient. It’s in walking distance of different areas like Notting Hill and Kensington. There are also two underground stations nearby with direct lines to many places in London. The hotel it self was also nice. We got an free upgrade to a deluxe room, which was very nice! The room was a bit outdated but spacious, clean and had a stunning view over Hyde Park and the London sky line. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only downside was the breakfast. There wasn’t that much of a choice and most of the products weren’t fresh. But overall it’s a nice hotel which i would recommend :).
