Sitting quietly among 12 acres of the gorgeous Tamar valley near to the hustle and bustle of the market town of Tavistock you can find Wonwood Barton, a beautiful converted farmhouse encircled by splendid countryside and amazing views towards Cornwall. The 19thCentury roundhouse and stunning courtyard have been converted from the original buildings into private suites, and the beautiful courtyard and extensive grounds provide you with the perfect rural venue.
Giving you an all year round country retreat with wood burners and huge beds to keep you warm during the winter months, and in the summer you can enjoy amazing views whilst enjoying a drink in the gardens. This venue is the perfect venue for your special day, and you can share this experience with your family and friends.
The Roundhouse and courtyard are the perfect location for smaller, more intimate events, while the lawn provides a larger location with brilliant views for a marquee. Our luxury suites also provide the perfect resting place for after the celebrations.
At Wonwood Barton we are here to create a special day that is unique to you. April 2024A dream DIY wedding. We were sold from the minute we found Wonwood Barton, it was the perfect wedding venue for us. We wanted a barn, DIY feel venue that could house some guests, offer camping and had a relaxed feel. That is exactly what we got. The venue is so beautiful that it doesn't require much decoration and there are so many different areas around the courtyard that we were able to use for different purposes. This meant that our photos were great too. We used the summer marquee in the green field package which meant that we could have a great party and were lucky enough to be able to get married outside. Bill, Claudine and Will were so helpful along the way and Bill helped to show us how to set up the tables the day before. Having the venue for the whole weekend meant that we could enjoy the beautiful scenery the night before the big day and get set up for the wedding too! I really can't reccomend Wonwood Barton enough, it holds a special place in our hearts now!
