I don’t often go away on my own and I found the staff at Fairfield Manor Hotel delightful, welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. The place is clean and warm. The Christmas Meal and buffet style breakfast, with a great choice of food, were delicious. The enormous bed was very comfortable. The spa facilities a short drive away were great. The jacuzzi is bliss. I thoroughly enjoyed my 24 hour stay at Fairfield Manor Hotel.

We use the pioneer room for our training. (British Red Cross) Tyler our host, his customer service is second to non. He's friendly alway welcomes me with a "good morning sir" and a smile. He always happy to help with our room set up. Tyler us a real asset to your hotel. How about training him to be a trainer, so he can pass on his customer care to others. Cheers John.

Received one night BB&E stay as a gift, the hotel has had some refurbishment in public areas since we last stayed a few years ago, reception staff were pleasant and knowledgeable. Our room was tired & very cold, adjusting the thermostat made no difference as the single radiator in the window alcove had had its valves turned off so tight it took one of the hotel managers to release them, being in the window alcove, once the floor to ceiling curtains were closed the heat was trapped behind them. Evening meal was a choice from a set menu, portions were too big, our waiter couldn't understand us very well and consulted others about our menu choices, breakfast was in the same room as dinner and was a help yourself buffet, in the daylight the once wooden panelling has been over painted in battleship grey.

When I first arrived I was out into a regular double room despite requesting, and paying extra for, a family room. The staff were very understanding and rectified this quickly. However, the next day our key cards stopped working 4 times, despite us keeping them away from our phones. Our tea and coffee were not topped up and we were given 1 toilet roll for a 3 day stay for 3 people. The following day dirty glasses were left outside of our bedroom and again our toilet roll, tea and coffee were not topped up. We called reception and asked them to bring us some and were told to go to reception to get them ourselves. To top it off when we were checking out we were told that we owed over £200! This was because there had been a system error that hasn't registered the payment made on arrival. The staff member was very rude when demanding this money and would not listen to my explaining what had already paid. Luckily I had all the evidence needed to show I had paid fully. There was no apology or recognition that it was their error. I then asked if I could check the tab to ensure it was correct given the issue, she said that she couldn't print a copy off and had me awkwardly lean over the desk to check. It's a shame because the hotel itself is lovely, most other staff were friendly and helpful and the location is good but various customer service issues let it down.
