Stills is located in Edinburgh, Scotland. It opened in 1977 as Scotland’s first gallery specialising in contemporary photography. As Scotland’s centre for photography, Stills' is a platform for contemporary art exploration, production and display and offers contemporary, stylish spaces for functions, events and meetings right in the heart of Edinburgh’s city center.

As Scotland’s largest open access darkrooms and only dry-to-dry colour print processing facilities, we offer 4 private suites and one large communal darkroom fully equipped for processing and printing both black and white and colour film.
