ignore the bad reviews i booked this on groupon for not a lot . Fantastic room on the front big bay window great view . Ideally placed for the great park and gardens across the road , funfair , amusements , great fish n chips ice cream etc , 5 mins from beach front . The breakfast is amazing , lot of choice continental and huge english breakfast choices. Staff are great especially sophia on the phone , we are taking our parents there for a night away or a weekend we enjoyed it so much . Its not for everyone but if your like me and check a place out thoroughly before you go you dont end up putting undeserved bad reviews from bitter people

Like most sea side hotels it has declined over the years. We had a double room facing the sea which was quite cold and draughty. The food tasted like standard supermarket fare that had simply been warmed up. It's a shame really as it used to be a lovely place.
