The staff was excellent. Checkin was a breeze. The hotel is well located in the heart of old town - just steps from the fort... none the less the room was very quiet. The "Napoleon" room was large and colorful - bed, couch, fridge, tea set, etc. the TV stations were a bit limited, but who travels to watch TV anyway! Bedding was exceptionally comfortable. If you are ready for breakfast at 8am, you can sit in the garden to eat. WiFi signal was strong. Value for money was very good. Would happily stay again.

I held a surprise 30th Birthday Party for my partner at the hotel and can not explain how happy i am with the service received. The night was a great hit. The Events Manager, Jolene, couldn't have been more helpful throughout the process and the staff on the night were amazing, kind and thoughtful. Wouldn't think twice about hosting another event here.

Had special offer off two afternoon teas for £25, which was very very nice. But the drinks were very expensive, ended up paying £37.90. One gin and tonic and a diet coke cost £12.90. 😋

This would be a mediocre 3-star hotel at best. After already paying for the room, I was forced to give a 50-pound deposit at check-in. Felt like an absolute criminal and ruined the stay. This really pretentious obnoxious receptionist tried to laugh it off and was doing anything but validating my annoyance. Having stayed at multiple hotels, this is the first time I'm ever heard of this. Fuming is not the right word. If you don't trust people don't run a hotel. I was not at ease, and felt like a criminal.
