If you’re looking for a hook-up that’s more mainstream than Mayfair’s swanky cocktail lounges yet less pedestrian than a pub, try this long-running Piccadilly favourite. Set in an imposing 19th-century edifice, Henry’s is cast as a European belle époque grand café. Sit in padded booths or on the petrol-blue banquettes and order junior-league cocktails such as Woo Woo, Sex on the Beach or The Godfather (Jack Daniel’s whiskey, Disaronno and Coke) by the glass or pitcher. London Pride and Black Sheep are best of the ales, and there are two dozen everyday drinking wines and fizz.
