Swallows Oast is the perfect wedding venue, located in the heart of the beautiful Sussex countryside at Gibbs Reed Farm.
The charming 1830’s venue is full of unique and traditional character and has been a wonderful banqueting hall for over 20 years, perfect for your wedding celebrations. The Oast’s roundels at the end of the building provide a fantastic main entrance into the hall for your ceremony. The main hall, with its beautiful oak-beamed ceiling and traditional minstrels’ gallery, can comfortably seat up to 130 guests for an intimate celebration.
The Swallows Pavilion offers a stunning outdoor alternative for your ceremony, with the option to hold part of the service in the woodland. The Pavilion also offers a wonderful setting for an evening meal or relaxed barbeque.
Following the Swallows Trail, you will reach a photographer’s dream scene. With stunning countryside views stretching out into the distance, the tranquil spot provides the perfect backdrop for your all-important wedding photographs.
If you’re in need of additional space for your guests, we offer marquees as an extra. Available for your full reception or just for arrival drinks, the marquee adjoins to the Oast and comes complete with flooring, champagne lining, chandeliers and orangery windows.
Your wedding breakfast will be provided by Capers Catering. Russell Webb and his fantastic team will create a delicious selection of dishes to suit your budget and personal tastes. All the dishes are created from fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

Got married in October 2017 and it was a fantastic venue for a the happiest time of my life. The on site wedding suite was sadly not complete by the time of our wedding but I imagine it is a great addition. Food was incredible and it felt very personal and away from the rest of the world.
