A few minutes walk from the town centre but as its uphill we caught the bus. Very, very imposing building from the outside and simply stunning inside. There are steps to the main entrance so mobility aid users and pushchairs would need to use a different entrance around the side. We walked into a stunning display of paper doves attached to ribbons. The member of staff explained that the staff and volunteers had created this with the help of an artist. There are other doves around the building and also in the everyman theatre a couple of hundred yards away. I was lucky enough to be able to take communion but its only bread at the moment only the vicar gets to swig the wine. From there another guide took us to the ladies chapel which celebrates women who have made lives better for others and contributed to society in many ways. There names are immortalised in stained glass windows. Amazing gift shop. Also a lovely cafe and toilets. A fabulous morning very well spent.

Such a beautiful place. First time going there it was out of this world Attended for the National Diversity Awards. Highly recommend visiting. Must of took many hours to dress it out so beautifully but also the architecture was insane. They don't make buildings like that anymore so pretty ❤

Did not want to leave! The building is fabulous and the artworks moving and profoundly thought provoking. The stained glass colours on the walls and floor simply added joy to the uplifting visit. And a small bit important point, the scones and yes we're themselves worth the visit and very reasonably priced. Should I be back in Liverpooll I will come again definitely. Memorable lime my first visit three years ago.

We have visited the Cathedral on numerous occasions before but I really wanted to see the Peace Doves Installation while we were in the city. All of the staff were very helpful and wore masks. Despite their being a service taking place the building was still accessible. We chose to wear masks, although I believe it is now optional. The cafe was open and was very busy as was the gift shop. The Peace Doves are absolutely stunning and a very popular attraction within the cathedral.

Chris: "This is really huge isn't it?" Mills: "It's bigger than that Chris, it's large." (a recorded conversation in 1994 regarding the cathedral's size) This cathedral is so unnecessarily large - you can easily see it from so many places across the water - therefore, making it one of the greatest buildings in the UK, if not in the entire world.
