Enormous pub tastefully decorated with 3 cask ales on offer - the ubiquitous Landord and a couple of lesser known ales. Welcoming bar staff and an extensive menu. So good to be sat by a real coal fire on a 🌧️ like this. Hope to return next week for the Tiny Rebel Tap Takeover - going to be quite a night 💥

Lovely time here for a birthday lunch. Rebecca was extremely helpful and friendly and provided exceptional service. The food was great, it was very tasty, filling and quick. We had one problem with an incorrect item coming out but this was corrected very quickly. They also sang happy birthday which was a lovely added touch. Would definitely come back again.

I made the mistake of sitting in the Dog friendly area and all I could hear is woofing and barking. Admittedly it was advertised that it’s the Dog friendly section so next time I will sit the other side of the pub. The food was nice and delivered quickly, it’s really easy to order on the app. It’s probably the stalwart of pubs in West Didsbury so I would recommend this place.

Lovely pub in the middle of West Didsbury with plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Usually a fantastic place for a light bite. Staff very friendly, on arrival I ordered a coffee at the bar, bartender very kind and offered to bring it to the table. Coffee was fantastic. We ordered our food. I got a lasagne, one of my faves. Tbh I struggled to find something I fancied on the menu. Last time I went there were a few things I wanted to try, although that was a while ago tbf. I almost ordered a steak sandwich but the cheese sauce accompaniment put me off. The lasagne came and I could see immediately that it was swimming in a very watery sauce. It tasted very strange, not like a lasagne at all. It had a sweetness to it, like a dessert. I did not enjoy the taste. It came with a garlic bread which I found very lacklustre. Hardly any flavour and super thin. The best part of the dish was the side salad! This had a zesty dressing which I liked. Overall I was so disappointed. I have never had a lasagne that tasted so awful tbh. I recommend this place for drinks with friends and maybe nibbles. Fantastic staff. Obviously I will give it another chance in the future but yeh, lasagne bad, end of review.
