Had a two night short stay here. A rather busy roundabout leads to a rather mediocre looking hotel. However, the negativity stooped there. The welcome at reception was very pleasant and genuine. The foyer and entrance had a scattering of sofas and chairs to sit and felt very welcoming. Our room was spotless, a nice size and a huge bed which was very comfortable. We ate in the on site Marco Pierre White restaurant and it was very very good. Our waiter was a little inexperienced but he couldn’t do enough for us. We also ate breakfast in the restaurant on both mornings and there was a good choice of hot and cold food which was all tasty and good quality. In summary, the experience was totally amazing and very much worth the price paid. I would wholeheartedly recommend staying here and thank all the staff for our very pleasant stay.

We were surprised how nice rhus hotel was as it wasn't so expensive. All the coffee and tea, biscuits, kettle and nice coffee maker with pods. Nice shower. Beds a bit hard for my liking but the rooms were clean and modern. Lobby and facilities were good. Breakfast very nice and good value. I would have given 5 stars but for he load thuds and banging from above my room that went on for 2hrs up to 11.30pm. Not sure if it was an employee doing something or a resident. I was in room 142 so maybe avoid that one! But apart from thus excellent.

Our first time with this hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff throughout were extremely friendly and helpful, the location of the hotel on the outskirts of Oxford is a positive and we had an excellent night's sleep. The No.6 bus is a frequent service into the city centre and stops just outside the hotel. Buffet breakfast caters for most tastes and I must mention the staff who were exceptional in this area. It was very busy and they worked very hard clearing tables and catering to the guests. The good sized bedroom had a king (UK) bed and an open wardrobe. A couple of negatives: the walk from the reception to room 172 has two short flights of stairs and the bathroom failed to meet the overall standard. This latter is small and cramped with a short bath and high sides. If the door opened outwards, (+fitted properly!) and the bath was replaced by a walk-in shower it would have suited us perfectly. On the positive side, the bedroom was quiet and we heard nothing of other guests. Note there is only one USB power point but plenty of well placed sockets. There is a reasonable charge for car parking and a ticket system to exit which causes the occasional hiccup. Based on our experience I can happily recommend the Leonardo hotel.

This is the first time I’ve ever stayed in a Leonardo Royal. Whilst I enjoyed my experience (or made the most of it), there were a few issues that needed rectifying. The location of the hotel is great. There are other local hotels available in the area too. We found Leonardo to be the perfect choice for us (prior to getting there). We booked Leonardo Royal in order to stay whilst attending a wedding for the weekend. The Parking is great and there are ample spaces, also very reasonable on pricing. (£6 for 24 hours). The reception area is beautiful, warm and welcoming. There are a few restaurants in the hotel itself including a Marco Pierre White. The receptionists, I felt, could smile a little more and provide a warmer reception/welcome. The rooms are a good size, very comfortable, relaxing, decorated superbly to create a calm, relaxing ambiance. The Bathroom however is a shoe box with ‘toy’ size bath. The hotel, we felt, is generally quiet, calm and comfortable. A nice stay, I would consider my options before returning, however. What could be improved: - The remote control was very rigorous. (Channel Button). - The Tap was falling off - The Shower gel bottle was empty - There was a big stain on the carpet in the corner. (Room 180). Other than these items above, our stay was comfortable and we made the most of it. Thank you for the Leonardo Experience 💫
