Built in 1816 for the wealthy William Hilton Cooke, Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa has continued to move with the times. In 1867 the ‘French chateau’ tower was added, in 1990 a new wing was created and in 2007 the property was enhanced with a health club and spa, stylish new executive bedrooms and conference and banqueting centre. Yet alongside these contemporary touches there remains something timeless about the house: a relaxed, homely atmosphere and service that makes you feel extra special.

Not only is the hotel a truly romantic wedding venue, it is one of the best located meeting venues in Cheshire, offering tailored all inclusive day and residential packages. Whatever your reason for visiting, you will get a warm welcome at the Old Stables, which has been developed into a fantastic health club and spa with treatment rooms, swimming pool, gym and hydrotherapy pool.

Wow amazing hotel, staff are absolutely fantastic and really make sure you have a great and are always on hands with a smile. Big shout out to Dan from the bar, he is amazing. The spa and pool area is lovely with a good sauna and steam room to enjoy. Everything is clean and tidy and the place is beautiful. Dinner in the restaurant was also great and I would recommend going for the tasting menus as these were excellent.

Had a wonderful Mothers Day Lunch there today. Slight mix up in the booking but they managed it brilliant. Dan served us and was exceptional. Fab afternoon. Definately recomened and will return. Food and wine were fab! 5 star rating well deserved.

A wonderful Spa day, extremely friendly staff and wonderful treatments, but average food and high prices! Rookery hall is a lovely place for a day of relaxation, pampering and rejuvenation. All the staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the treatments and products available. They have a small but well-filled gym and a lovely pool, sauna and steam room. The relaxation room is calm and serene and the amber lounge is a great place to read and relax. The treatments were amazing and the recommendations were explained thoroughly. The only downside was the food was very average from what I expected, I also ordered one drink with lunch and was charged a 12.5% service charge which was very disappointing, However this didn’t dampen my day as the staff were so friendly and attentive to everything I asked, I will definitely be back again.

I went last weekend with my partner for our anniversary and it was not off to a good start. We showed up late as we were stuck in traffic, so I called to inform hotel but not one picked up at the reception after they transfer me. When we got to hotel, we went through spa entrance with our car and was expecting to see a grand house but couldn't find it. After an hour on the phone trying to reach the receptionist I was so frustrated, I almost left because I couldn't find the hotel. In photos its a grand country house, so I was confuse when I pulled up to something that looks like a convention center in the dark. Her excuse was she was helping a customer though it was so quiet. She finally showed us where to park, I was flustered at this point as there was no proper signage. We had reservations for dinner and chose the 10 course meal at £90, however they don't tell you that VAT is not included in the price so our meal with a bottle of wine was an additional £40. Rooms were nice but not decorated in the country house decor, you could of been at any nice generic hotel. The spa was lovely and the highlight of our weekend. Probably won't return as it's a lot grander in photos.

Firstly let me start by saying the service at the hotel reception and spa was first class a truly 5 star experience. The hotel was quiet and we received an unexpected room upgrade, we had treatments booked in the spa so left our baggage in reception and they found their way to the room by the time we had finished. The spa and treatments we lovely and afternoon tea delightful again service was perfect. When we returned to the hotel reception showed us to the room and the amenities inside which was lovely. The feature room "November" was very well appointed and clean with lovely views of the garden. The perfect stay began to fall apart when we headed to the bar in the evening and continued during our dining experience, as detailed in our food and drinks review.
