Beautiful hotel. Staff were very pleasant. Grounds were lovely to walk around. A few issues with the leisure facilities but still a great stay.

Lovely couple of days in the Mansion studio suite. Nice room, lovely view, nice food. Spa a bit basic but nice to relax and enjoy the sauna and jacuzzi. All good

Beautiful site, large period themed bedrooms, small but pleasant swimming pool with wonderful warm water perfect for winter days, open till 10.00pm which is great for an evening swim. Some areas need a little bit of care and attention but overall we had a great time and enjoyed our stay. Receptionists always happy to help and staff at breakfast very pleasant.

Very disappointing. I was stuck in the Courtyard block and it was snowing. There's no way of getting into the main hotel but across the road which was snowy, icy and full of puddles. I asked for a gluten Free menu weeks before my trip and was assured that I would be catered for. Mince pies...no. Cake...no. Bread at dinner......no. Cocktail nibbles....no. I was not amused. Vegetarians had the sane problem.

A lovely place, the surroundings are excellent and staff very friendly. What let them down is the quality of the food and little improvements to service such as serving the ladies first. It should have been better; bread rolls hard, roast beef a long way from succulent and a plate with no inconsistent veg. Happily do better at home every time. Should and coud do better!
