I came with my girlfriend for a mini vacation. First off the staff are nice, they all provided good service. Well done team👌🏽 The breakfast has a good range of food, and it's all presented nicely👌🏽 The hotel has a range of activities, like a spa, gym, swimming pool, and jacuzzi to name a few. Luckily we had breakfast and evening dinner which was a calm atmosphere, not crowded. 👌🏽 The evening dinner was excellent, and freshly made by chefs 👌🏽 The hotel may have some old features here and there which may need improvement, for example, the lift needs updating, also some areas like the ceiling in the relaxation room, men's toilets in the spa etc. But I believe this will all get fixed in due time. The hotel team may need to pay attention to deep cleaning, and more refurbishment around the hotel but besides that I believe it has the potential to be number 1.

A very enjoyable stay. We were brought this stay as a present. Booking using the voucher was straight forward and the staff were very helpful. Met on arrival by a very friendly receptionist. How to use the facilities were explained to us and she made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The hotel itself and room were very warm (important when staying in January!). The buffet breakfast was superb, plenty of choice and nothing was too much trouble. As guests of the hotel access to the gym and pool were included. The use of the spa facilities came at an additional cost. Overall a lovely stay and would recommend the hotel.

Probably the best hotel, service and room I and my wife have stayed at in the UK. Awesome from arrival to departure. Everything was in place. Room with King Size bed, TV, with Cable, beautiful shower room. Food was outstanding, compliments to the chef. Their fish and chips were second to none. Crisp, fish literally fell off the outer batter, chips were crisp and warm. Well recommended

This is listed as a four star hotel. Let’s start with the positives. Advised in advance of the lift being broken and offered (and given) a first floor room. Staff friendly on arrival. On entering the room we were concerned that the carpet appeared very shabby and ruched up around a radiator that incidentally did not work. Furniture was very dated, and scratched. Bathroom whilst modern had no blind at the window. The shower leaked badly. There was no top up of toiletries during the 3 nights we were there. Tea and coffee provided in room but no plug for kettle so had to relocate this next to bed. Reported a bedside lamp not working on first day. Not attended to. Breakfast not too bad, food hot but not replenished often. No fried eggs ! The worst thing was the fact that the hotel was being redecorated. Stank of paint. Workmen everywhere and although they were polite it was difficult moving around the hotel. The spa was dark and dingy. No comfortable furniture, the water was cold in the pool and hot tub. Changing facilities very small and cramped and smelt mouldy. Charged £6 to hire a robe. There was a relaxation room but this was dark and smelt mouldy. Spa was then closed for our 2nd and 3rd day. Car park on site charged £12 per day to residents although we got this free as part of our deal. Is this a four star hotel? At the moment absolutely not. Apparently the lift fell to pieces when checked so looks as though this will be out of action for some time. We really did not want to spend a relaxing 3 days smelling paint and dodging wet paint signs. Not good enough.

Unfortunately I don’t have anything good to say about my experience. It was an absolute waste of money. The whole spa experience is sold as “luxury” but it is the complete opposite. The staff had absolutely no idea what they were doing, not to mention they were patronising. Half the facilities were closed and out of order yet we were still charged the same amount. This hotel is at the very most a 2 star, certainly not 4 star. The spa smelt mouldy. And the afternoon tea was also disappointing. We waited for 20 minutes to be seated yet there was only 6 guests in the entire restaurant. They also had no clue what they were doing. The waitress decided it was acceptable to shove alcohol menus in our faces when all we asked for was afternoon tea, again, the after noon tea took another 20 minutes to come. The tea was PG Tips and when you’re paying good money for these things you don’t expect cheap tea. The food was also cheap and nasty and in general just wasn’t at all what it was advertised. We only ate the Scones and had tiny bites of the rest of the food which as mentioned, wasn’t nice. And on a side note, hidden parking charges, completely unacceptable. £15 to park for the day??? Robes and towels were also extra for the spa, (for how much they charge it should be included) and they also aren’t as advertised in the pictures. Builders are also surrounding the place at the moment which isn’t mentioned. They walk into the spa treatment rooms unannounced and the pool etc, made us really uncomfortable and other guests were also complaining. Nothing about the experience shouts “luxury”. Won’t be returning, nor will I be recommending.
