About Private Room

49 Broad Street Bristol, Bristol, BS12EP

Marc and the team welcome you to Horts. Named after the 18th century artist, essayist and bon viveur Arthur Hort, born at the top of the road, the names Hort and Bristol have been synonymous for hundreds of years. Now fully restored to maximise the existing features; whilst adding light and space to create the most welcoming of environments, Horts blends the best of a traditional city pub with contemporary style.

Located at the first floor, the private room is perfect for dining and drinks parties for work or pleasure. Marc and the team welcome you to Horts.

Spent most of our evenings in this lovely place. The food was great. They have a fantastic cinema at the back Of The pub. Wow.

My favourite pub in Bristol for many years now. Good range of beers and ciders. Food good too. Friendly and accommodating staff. Yes, drinks are slightly more “expensive” (we are only talking 50p a pint here) , but they aren’t involved in a race to the bottom, and puts off riff raff.

Dropped in here for lunch after having a weekend in Bristol. Dinner was outstanding.stunning food. Only let down was got one dessert wrong. Had toffee pudding and asked for custard instead of ice cream but had both and no toffee sauce so was just sponge and ice cream.mine was lovely though. Will definitely return so still deserves 5 stars

Comfortable and relaxed bar tucked away right in the centre of Bristol. Decent, though not huge range of ales on offer but this is more the type of place you would visit on a date night rather than a girls or boys night out. There is an area with comfy sofas to sit on and a large selection of books to read. On Wednesday evenings the 30 seat cinema at the rear is open and shows free films. More comfortable leatherette chairs and footstools for the ultimate viewing experience. You are actively encouraged to take a drink in with you.
