The building is incredible, the common spaces and staff are awesome. But my room was definitely not a five star experience. The one (small) window faced out into an indoor event space - no privacy issues, but no natural light or view of the sky. This meant it was really dark in the room and there are no ceiling lights, just lamps (see picture for an idea of the "view" / light levels at 11am on a sunny summer day). Bathroom had a showerbath, which really sucks for tall people. The room was small, but not tiny (by London standards). Literally the first hotel I've stayed in anywhere in the world where, if you could climb out your window, you'd still be indoors. Not a nice surprise, given the price.

Beautiful hotel. Food really nice, staff are friendly and helpful throughout. Well stocked bar with plenty of choice of food quality whisky, brandy and beers. Good venue for all kinds of large or small meetings.

The Gilbert Scott bar is fabulous. We had a drink there yesterday evening thanks to a wonderful staff member who moved tables together for our group. Nothing was too much trouble. Love this quirky little bar & the Booking office is great too.

I have not stayed here but I often use the foyer area for drinks. Really great space, beautiful. Quick friendly service. Often live music playing. Good drink selection and great afternoon tea. It is not cheap certainly but not too overpriced but for a drink in an amazing setting it is definitely worth it. I would recommend a visit.

This is a fantastic venue for a wedding. The Renaissance hotel is full of character and a feel of opulence. Juxtaposed against St Pancras station's modern architecture, with an expanse of glass, steel and polished floors. I often recommend this venue to engaged couples looking for something unique in London.
