Been to the Mercure hotel twice, all in a short space of time as my partner and I were so blown away back in January. Visited again this weekend for my partners birthday and once again, had an amazing time. The suites were stunning with great decor and lovely welcome messages and gifts. The pool and leisure facilities were great as well as the restaurant. Ruth was particularly lovely and provided the very best customer service. Can't wait ti visit again!

Amazing suite. Really impressed with the size of the rooms. Parking is very tight snd the pool was really busy. But overall a great hotel walking distance to Cardiff with some great facilities.

This is a amazing & beautiful hotel. All staff, were pleasant & happy, especially the gorgeous Levi & her cocktails. The rooms were a good size & spotlessly clean. The spa & pool were fantastic & again our facials & massage made me feel so relaxed.I stayed with my cousin & we could not believe the value for money. The food was excellent, as was the price & service. We had a amazing time & will not hesitate to return or recommend to everyone. Thank you all so much.

Very enjoyable stay at the Mercure for a couple days in Cardiff. We were able to leave our bags with them to explore ahead of checking in. On check-in we were lucky enough to be upgraded to a suite, which was incredible. The room was absolutely massive with two bathrooms, a separate living room space with 55” TV, desk, mini cooler with drinks and snacks, tea and a Nespresso coffee machine. The bedroom was also large with a comfy king size bed and another TV. The main bathroom had a shower and large bath. The panoramic views from the room were great, although the windows were filthy - however when you’re 14/15 floors up, this can’t be easy to clean! The spa was nice, the pool was a little fresh, but fine. Unfortunately on both visits, part of it was closed off for swimming lessons. The sauna was lovely. The steam room was unfortunately closed as it wasn’t working and didn’t look like it had for a while. The jacuzzi was often full with people spending long periods of time in there, but if you were lucky you could manage to sneak in there. Breakfast was also nice, the cereal selection was good, the continental was very basic and the cooked was pretty basic too, although you could find things to eat. The pastries were ok, but had to be slightly picky. Location wise, the hotel is less than 10min from the main city centre and 20min or so from Cardiff Bay. Overall a really enjoyable stay though, helped along with the room upgrade. We would definitely stay there again!

Great central location with walking access into Cardiff. The staff were really friendly and helpful, but there were a few issues was the numerous not working hotel elements. There were 4 lifts, of only 1 it seemed was working and not clear signage on the others that were out of order, so I was happy to run up the stairs to my room on the 4th floor, however there was no indication of where any stairs were to use. The sauna and pool was good, but one of the showers were out of order and quite odd that there was no temperature option for this. Majority of people I know who use a sauna enjoy the benefit of standing under a cold shower, there was not this option, the water was only one setting of warm.
