The prominent Art Deco building at the heart of the Crystal Palace triangle, that originally opened as the The Rialto Cinema in 1928, has been lovingly being restored and given a new lease of life by Everyman.
The vast main auditorium has been cleverly divided up to form 4 separate screens, each with their own feel and identity. The smaller screens are characterised by the use of contemporary forms and finishes, whilst within the main screen, the original detailing has been restored to ensure that the charm of the original art deco cinema is not lost.
Everyman Crystal Palace also boasts two bars area, the first at ground floor which offers a grand brass and marble bar with a collection of intimate seating areas and, on the first floor, the more cosy space gives amazing views towards central London.
In the classic, quirky Everyman style, the design combines retro touches, luxurious materials and detailing, and raw exposed construction materials.
With luxurious sofas, plenty of leg room and unique design features, our screens are the perfect event spaces! We regularly host:
• Corporate events and conferences
• Networking
• Private Screenings
• Kids parties
• Adult celebrations
• Awards Ceremonies

Gorgeous Art Deco cinema dating back to 1928. Four screens, two bars and a kitchen to ensure your movie snack is top notch. Everyman position themselves at the premium end of the cinema market, so yes the tickets are more pricy, but in Crystal Palace you really do get good value for money. Seats are not actually seats, but full comfy sofas. Inevitably screens are not as large as at the multiplexes but most of the indie fare you watch here won’t miss that. Stop by, take your time, sit back and relax 🍿 If you found my review or photos helpful please leave a quick thumbs up 👍 Thank you

It seems strange to say this about a cinema, even an Everyman Cinema, but is this the swankiest place in the "best place to live" in London? This Art Deco inspired cinema is a breathtaking location to watch a film, though I wish those films were a little bit more commercial. (Retrospective commercial classics do not count) At just shy of £14pp it initially feels very expensive for a cinema outside of The West End. But then you open your eyes and you are surrounded by beauty. The main foyer is charming and inviting and unlike the large cinema complexes you would readily arrive here early just to relax and have a drink. The upstairs bar is even more sumptuous and elegant and looks like a fabulous place to catch an evening show, though I have a feeling it probably gets very busy with non cinema goers. But for me Crystal Palace is most beautiful in the daytime, with the staircase bringing some of that outdoor beauty in, providing a wonderful view that makes you pause, (Crystal Palace after all, has some of the best views in London). At my age it's also nice to sometimes go somewhere when it is relatively quiet. We were lucky enough to experience the main theatre, Screen 1, and the large semi circular two seater sofa array of seats, you smile when you see it. Its delightful, inviting and comfortable, the closest experience to being at home. The seating feels familiar, devoid of the soulless leather clad luxury recliners in "VIP" areas of modern cineplexes, that feel like a seat no one belongs in, and one which you can't wait to escape from. My friend and I were happy to sit there until the lights came on, watching the credits was a weird experience. So comfortable were we that I did have to tell my friend to "shhh". (It was only 15% full, and we inadvertently and momentarily annoyed another patron sitting two sofas and a row away). I should end because I have tarried too long, but I must mention the men's toilets, which were beautiful, spotless and odourless and that's the small detail which means nothing mars the experience. So actually £14pp is really a bargain for this venue, although please let's not increase that in the short term at least.

Great place to watch the film! Has such a vibe and people in there are auper nice. Food portions could be a bit bigger but wasn't that bad
