Dropped in for late sunday lunch. Most of the mains had sold out but we managed to get the last two roast chicken . Kids had burgers. Well prepared world class yorkshire puds. Had the crumble to follow. Only downside was the hot choc which was way too small for £4.50 so best missed. Otherwise highly recommended.

I went to this restaurant/pub for lunch on a Thursday, whilst some other restaurants in the sane street were packed with people this restaurant was very quiet, when I first got in, I thought the inside was a bit dark with very simple decorations. A lady (model) was taking photos at a corner with a photographer, though a waitress was in the restaurant, she didn’t really come to serve us or take us to a table, so I was wondering was it opened or was it just a photo studio or was it like a causal cafe we just find our own table to sit down?! So I walked in and asked the waitress should I find a table myself, at this point she then said she could find a table in another side of the restaurant so the model could take photos on the other side. I felt it was very causal that we were not being served at all. The menu is simple without many choice to choose from, I had the sea bream and smoked mussels, I agree with other reviews that the portion is quite small with the price I paid for the dish (£17), I had a glass of Mai Tai, to be honest it was quite disappointing, that was the worst Mai Tai I had ever had, too much ice no taste at all. My husband had the chicken & mushroom pie, it was actually quite tasty. Overall it was ok.

Super odd place that's often half empty while other Exmouth Market spots are buzzing. Doesn't seem to know whether it's trying to be a restaurant, pub, or bar and is struggling on all three fronts; but it does feel like it has potential if it could nail one of these. Went in on a Sunday evening to find they had no food, no draught beer, and no vibes -- had one sad drink before heading to Cafe Kick down the street.
