The Clissold Arms is an award-winning, family-owned gastro pub that offers high quality, homemade dishes using locally sourced produce.
From our signature burgers to lighter fish dishes and catch of the day from our local fishmonger, we have a daily specials board as well as the a la carte menu offering a choice of starters, main courses and desserts
Our choice of draft beers, ciders and wines change regularly to compliment the menu and the season. All can be enjoyed in the tasteful bar area where you instantly feel at home or in the large secluded garden for the perfect al fresco escape.
Our Sunday lunches are known in the local area for being the real deal and booking is highly recommended. Being family owned, we welcome families with open arms.
The Clissold Arms is unique in many ways, not least for its ambience. With five distinct areas, including the original Kinks’ Room, it’s a great place for a celebration that can be scaled up or down.
The room has a famous history, being the place where English rock band The Kinks held their first ever public performance. The walls are adorned in Kinks memorabilia which makes for a warm, inviting and exciting space to hold an event. It has a capacity of 65 seated guests, or maximise the space with standing drinks and food receptions of up to 65/70 guests.

February 2024Best Sunday roast in North London! This is my third time eating at the Clissold Arms. I had a beef roast and absolutely loved it and came back with my dad twice to dine on a Sunday. The lamb roast is also out of this world! (My Fav roast option) They also make their own cranberry sauce which is also amazing and tried the apple pie this time round which I loved! Apart from the delicious food, the service is just top notch! Both Nikos and Dimitri are very attentive and made us feel welcome. In addition, they are just very passionate about the food and ingredients used which makes the experience so much better. Will definitely be back and recommend to my friends!

January 2024On our way back from Go Ape, me and my girlfriend were staving. I searched up “best roast in North London”. We arrived to see authentic Greek food on the sign outside. Skeptical they could deliver a proper roast, we walked in. I ordered the lamb roast. Absolute Gorgeous 10/10 would highly recommend. The tender Greek lamb with the roast is a synergy I never knew I needed. Niko, the friendly gentleman with the moustache had story’s of Greece which enhance the atmosphere, as well as the light jazz throughout our meal. I will be coming back.

January 2024I went to the chess club here which was quite good. Not many kids but friendly. The pub itself seemed lacking in character. They had a huge garden though with pretty lights.
