A very modern style hotel. The room is perfect for 2 people and designed well for the size and very clean. Our room was in the basement so naturally not much of a view but still has natural light. Location is good as next to the castle, about a 15 minute walk to Royal Mile and centre. Hotel is surrounded by restaurants of all types and tastes. Check in and check out was efficient with friendly staff. Free coffee and tea in the modern bar which you can take to the room. Option to hire an umbrella for £2 for 48hrs is a nice touch. We opted out of their breakfast at £12.50 per person as loads of breakfast places around it. Good hotel and not badly priced.

It's difficult to write a review for this hotel because I had two completely different experiences. I stayed for four nights. When I arrived, the check-in was not very positive due to the rude staff, and upon entering the room I found the bathroom dirty with feces and it was disgusting. I thought, 'Well, these things can happen.' Unfortunately, I couldn't sleep that night because the room was located across from a service door that woke me up every time it closed. It felt like the beginning of a nightmare. The next day, I requested a room change, and in this case, the staff was excellent. I checked out and later that evening did a new check-in (with very excellent staff). This time, the room was clean, and I slept wonderfully... thank goodness! In the end, it was an experience that started poorly but ended very well.

Stayed for one night at this hotel, its location close to the old town and queens street. They offer a storage of luggage’s after check out or before check inn. Amazing warm rooms, self check in facility so not much queues. Not to forget mentioning the cleanliness.

Great location, right in the centre. Rooms are very compact and mine did not have an actual desk which made it hard to work during my stay. No kettles in rooms so had to go down to the bar to get hot drinks (which are free).
