Once inhabited by Bridget Dame D'Oyly Carte, the sole Heiress to The Savoy, used most recently as a BBC film set for Gordon Ramsay and trusted by leading brands such as Dior, Facebook & Thomson Reuters, our ancient woodland is set in the rolling Chiltern hills, a Classified Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty surrounded by native wildlife, flora and fauna just a stones throw away from London.
Throughout the 87 acres are a series of large tables for communal dining, meticulously hand carved from fallen trees by a local craftsman as well as a large sunken firepit for toasting marshmallows and cooking equipment.
Coverage is provided in the form of two large stratus tipis which can comfortably cover up to 100 guests. In addition no woodland would be complete without its own wood fired sauna, wood store, field kitchen and plenty of storage. Lighting, heating and electric come as standard, meaning a hassle free hire without any unpleasant surprises.

We went to Nomadic dinners at the end of June and had a wonderful time. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The foraging experience lasted an hour and was super informative- Freya was fantastic! The food was excellent in particular the lamb and Eton Mess! We had such a brilliant time and can’t believe we didn’t know it was right on our doorstep. Well worth the experience and would highly recommend!

I chose Experience Nomadic for my sisters Hen Party and the experience from start to finish was a pure delight. The staff, servers and chefs were friendly, courteous and above all just happy to have us. We got to experience first hand how they prepared our meals. Watching the Eton Mess being created was by far my favourite. Freya, our foreging expert was delightful to listen to as she talked about the different types of nature and the benefits of including it in our food. I can't recommend this experience enough and we will definitely be returning. Thank you again to all of the Nomadic team for making my sisters day so wonderful 😊💜☘️🪻🪵

We chose Nomadic as the venue for our company’s 35th anniversary celebration because it promised a memorable event in a relaxed and unique setting. We were delighted that it lived up to our (somewhat high) expectations. The team created a wonderful experience for us, and everything from the drinks and canapes reception to the foraging, and the delicious and convivial lunch was outstanding. We’d highly recommend Nomadic to anyone who is looking for something distinctive.

The food was incredible. The team are absolutely wonderful and so helpful and the activity was delightful. We did the foraging, which was so much fun! A little nibble on nature before being served a wonderful fire cooked supper, in nature :) The venue/setting is beautiful, so romantic. We roasted marshmallows, provided by the team, on the fire pit late into the night. Highly recommended

The experience was lovely and the setting was stunning. Staff friendly and attentive, and the foraging tour was interesting. Both myself and the others sat with me felt that the meal was underwhelming and not a representation of the foraging experience or being a "feast over fire". The three course meal was tasty but not really what I would expect of £125 and besides the aubergine of my vegetarian risotto (a really standard, uninspiring vegetarian option wherever you go!) nothing was cooked over a fire. The dessert of strawberry Eton mess and toasting marshmallows is such a cop-out for the price. There was nothing served that felt special, topical for the event or that I couldn't make myself for under £20. Parking was limited which I appreciate is due to the location but they should consider this when capping ticket numbers! That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed the talk and dining experience in the forest. It would be the perfect wedding location and meal but overall the dishes fell short of my expectations and was a costly experience.
