May 2025Really impressive food in a beautifully decorated pub. Lots of options but we went for a light lunch including a set menu of soup and chickpea patties, croquettes and Caesar salad finished by the famous pistachio soufflé which was delicious. Service was attentive and not intrusive. The atmosphere was a little flat with diners in close proximity even though it was a quiet Friday afternoon. Might be more buzzy in the evening.

May 2025Lovely pub surrounded by the woods. Restaurant and bar with lots of parking space. Cozy atmosphere. They have a happy hour with a long list of great cocktails. They're serving a very delicious sirloin steak, among many other great dishes. I recommend trying it.

June 2025Been meaning to go for a long time and finally made it on a lovely summers day. Tiered garden at the back with outdoor seating. Beautiful decor inside for a cosy elevated feel. We ordered the scotch egg as a nibble to start with which was made fresh and one of the best we had ever had. Followed up with chicken liver parfait and the home made beef burger. The parfait was exceedingly flavourful whilst the burger was juicy and tasty. Service was spot on and pricing were reasonable. Would recommend and we'll be back.

May 2025A frequent visitor now lovely food, service, staff. Wanted to try the Sunday roasts and we did! Every other dish met the expectations three course but for the chicken one. Dog menu - great to have but was hoping for fresh not kibbles predominantly for that price so was a disappointment. It is pricey depending on what all you opt for. Ours came to around £200 for 4 adults 1 child 1 pooch. Had a lovely time and see you again.
