Stump Cross Inn, Bar Area

Stopped for Sunday lunch. Fantastic. Huge plate of food, great value, and for me the steak pie and the gravy were the superstars. Great service, super friendly, and the chef even explained how he makes the yorkshire puddings. Will be back when back in area.

Tom and the team looked after us from start to finish when we organised a funeral tea. Nothing was too much trouble and every member of staff was very accommodating. Fresh food and great quality. He also arranged accommodation for a family member who was super impressed with her room. Would have no hesitation recommending.

I would have given a 4 if it wasn't for the customer service. I'm coeliac so eating out for me is more of a chore, finding food is hard and with the limited choice on the menu as most places I struggled to find something I could eat. Our servers were amazing, one in particular went above and beyond to help me, instead of me having a sandwich whilst everyone else had a meal, she went out of her way and found an alternative before my food was made and came back to offer me a dish which they could put together for me. Made my day! Thanks to Emily!!
