100 years ago, these "railway" hotels used to be the height of luxury to welcome travellers, and the Grand Central pulls out all the stops to recreate that era. The building itself is absolutely beautiful and that standard continues as you enter the reception area / main staircase. The rooms are immaculate with comfortable beds, Smart TVs you can cast to and good water pressure in the shower (something I always look for). In addition to the rooms, you have the Champagne Central bar where you watch the goings on below in the main station, a weekend brunch menu and 24x7 room service. To top it all off, the staff are warm and friendly & the hotel is in a prime location so, really, the Grand Central is everything you want from a hotel

Lived in Glasgow for many years but never stayed at this hotel. Stayed here with my sister which she’d booked as part of a birthday present for me. We had a double double room and it was amazing. So spacious, well equipped, spotlessly clean and had the most comfortable beds ever. Despite being in the city centre on a Saturday night the room was really quiet. The staff are amazing. The reception staff on checking in and out were so friendly. The service in the champagne bar was excellent - we had some lovely cocktails, served quickly. And at breakfast we were greeted quickly and had a really tasty breakfast from a very well stocked selection. Overall couldn’t fault this hotel in anything.

What a find! Have walked past this hotel for over 30 years without knowing that such a grand hotel was hiding in plain sight! Champagne bar overlooks the main station concourse, wonderful for just watching the world go by. Rooms modern, beds so comfy and staff superb, especially David Kirk - guy is a legend. Breakfast excellent and again wonderful staff. Brazilian chef plating up breaky was a happy and joyous start to the day. Cannot wait to return.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is part of the historic Glasgow Central Station opened in 1879. Very cool contemporary design and very convenient with every shop at your doorstep. The staff couldn’t have been nicer or more welcoming, from Claire at Reception to the very gracious Concierge. As an IGH Platinum I felt very well recognized and welcomed and appreciated the front desk proactively in arranging a late check-out which really helped me out (Hilton - take note as you continue to fail to enforce this stated benefit for elites, which is why you don’t get any more of my business). My only issue was the elevators - one was out of service for the 2 days I was here and it began to annoy me with long waits and delays to get to my room as it simply couldn’t cope with occupancy demands.

Went for afternoon tea. Not all good, scones were not fresh, sandwiches could have been better and dessert not too bad. Thought the staff could have been dressed better, just in there every day clothes (jeans) and service slow.
