Located in the heart of the West End of Glasgow sits The Bothy; a unique Scottish Restaurant just off the fashionable Byres Road.
Our venue can provide you with two private function rooms for your special day. If you’re looking for a small and quiet reception, our Snug is available with the capacity to hold up to 8 guests. However if you’re looking to host a somewhat larger event, our Private Dining Room, located on the first floor and host to country décor and a warm feel, can accommodate 22 guests for your sit down meal.
Here at The Bothy, we can provide you with a full day package that will include catering and room hire, or a breakdown rate can be provided to include your specific needs. We can provide you with a wonderful Scottish venue full of traditional charm and cheer. Surrounded by your closest friends and your loved ones, we can create the perfect day for you, whether you’re looking for a drinks reception or a wonderful sit down meal.
The Bothy also has an onsite wedding coordinator who will be on hand to make sure that everything runs smoothly on your special day. At a Bothy Wedding, every guest sits at the top table!

January 2024I went here for the Burns night with a friend and it was a spectacular evening, the atmosphere was wonderful, the staff were really good and attentive. The food was great but not to the standard I would have expected for a higher end restaurant. I loved the haggis, neeps and tatties though the ham hock & lentil soup was just OK. The cranachan cheesecake was quite nice. My friend loved her salmon starter though felt the sticky toffee pudding was a bit heavy. She also thought the haggis was delicious. The whisky flight was very good value for money considering the price of the bottles, I had the Isles one and would recommend it. We also had a few bottles of red wine, the cheaper ones tasted better than the more expensive bottle. I'd definitely go back but would try other options on the menu along with another whisky flight 😀

March 2024Went for a Sunday roast (beef) which was great. Service was good, walked in a busy Sunday night with no reservation and was seen to right away. Atmosphere was lovely, food was delicious (sticky toffee pudding was unreal). Would recommend for a nice sit-down meal, spent 40 on roast dinner (surcharge for beef) with dessert and a pint which was fair for the quality of food

February 2024It’s a lovely restaurant area and the staff are very pleasant. The menu has several vegetarian and vegan 🌱 options which is great, but I think the quality of those courses is probably a bit below the meat dishes. Sunday roast is good.
